One of the world's leading oil and energy firms has an urgent requirement for an experienced generalist procurement manager with experience gained in both direct and indirect procurement to join the organisation in a role that will allow the successful candidate to develop their career in a role where they will be required to lead and develop a procurement team. My client is renowned for the quality of its procurement operations and has experienced continued growth in its global operations.


In this generalist procurement manager role, the ideal candidate must:
* Have significant experience working across a number of indirect and direct procurement categories in a global organisation.
* Have excellent supplier management and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Be degree educated or equivalent and be CIPS qualified or equivalent.
* Have experience of leading and developing a procurement team.


In this generalist procurement manager role, the successful candidate will:
* Act as a leader and mentor to members of their procurement team
* Regularly lead negotiations with key suppliers across the full spectrum of both direct and indirect procurement categories
